The Ridge Goes Green
We have decided to take our course treatment program in a more natural direction, with an eye towards becoming the most environmentally-friendly golf course in Central New York. With the help of the Soil and Water Conservation District, the NY Natural Resources Conservation Service guidelines, and field expert Bob Portmess of Cornell University, we are working to develop a program that will both minimize chemical use and effectively manage cultural and pest issues. We believe that our green approach goes hand–in–hand with the spectacular natural setting of our course and it is undoubtedly the best thing for our members and for the environment.
New Golf Carts
We’re excited to announce that The Ridge will replace its golf carts with a fleet of eighteen Club Car Precedent i2 gas-powered cars. Equipped with peppy engines, extra–traction tires and conveniences such as bagwell liners, fold-down windshields, and plenty of storage, our new carts are sure to make your golfing experience more enjoyable.
Skyridge Golf Club Enters a New Era as The Ridge Golf Club
Today marks the sale of the club to proud new owners, Melissa and David Spicer and Melinda and Greg Sorrentino. We are thrilled to hold a true Central New York treasure and we have exciting plans to help the course reach its full potential. Learn more about us and our vision for the club on our about us page.
